Oct 2010 Regatta in Mexico PAN AM venue

A regatta in Puerto Vallarta, MX is being held Oct. 19-24, 2010. It is for Pan AM classes. This regatta cannot be called the Pan AM Pre-Regatta as is not being run by the official Pan Am organization.
Vallarta Yacht Club; practice & measuring on Oct. 19 & 20. Racing is Oct. 21-24. At least 2 courses. Anyone can sail. Bring your own boat. You can drive down through Laredo, Tx or Nogalas, Az; two days driving from the border either way. Maps & other details to follow.
Bahia de Banderas (Bay of Flags) is 20 miles wide x 20 miles long off the Pacific. There are great tradewinds every afternoon from SW to W. Vallarta YC is in Nuevo Vallarta (a suburb) just north of PV & the airport.
This is "Hot off the Press" news. There are no $$$ for an Official Pre-Regatta - so the Mexican Sailing Federation & VYC decided to have a regatta anyway & call it something else.
